I am Dr. Abhilash S., a scientist specializing in atmospheric sciences with extensive expertise in climate modeling, dynamical prediction of the Indian summer monsoon, and radar data assimilation. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor and Associate Director at the Radar Center, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT).

I earned my Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from CUSAT and have held notable positions such as Senior Research Scientist at Flagstone Reinsurance in Bermuda and visiting scientist roles at the University of Miami and the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in the USA. My contributions to the field have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the SAARC Scientist Medal and the Indian Meteorological Society Award.

I have an extensive publication record with over 43 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous contributions to books and reports. My research focuses on mesoscale convective systems, developing extended range prediction systems, and assimilating Doppler radar observations for improved weather forecasting. I have successfully led and participated in multiple high-profile research projects, securing substantial grants.
